A couple of years ago I went to a wine show and drank a lot of Big Hairy Ass wines. After the show I found it hard to drink anything too heavy, all I wanted was Sauvignon Blanc's from New Zealand and Rieslings from Germany. Well two years later and I am back on the bus...The Big Ass Bus. I can't get enough Shiraz and Cab's. This Cab from Australia is quite fruit forward (which is like saying the same thing twice....Hey Grumpy whats that called again?) but it is well balanced. Nice big Tannins and a lot of Acid (get it...wink wink nudge nudge T and A) complement the fruit. I don't remember how much I paid for this but I would definitely buy again if it was around $20.
